Jaspal Singh, MD, MHS, F.CCP

 

Dr. Jaspal Singh is board certified in sleep medicine, internal medicine, pulmonary, and critical care. Dr. Singh has been in Charlotte since 2007 at Carolinas Medical Center where he served for 5 years as Medical Director of Carolinas Sleep Services, one of the largest integrated sleep service networks in the Southeast United States. Currently he practices sleep, pulmonary and critical care medicine with a special focus on workforce development and telemedicine to meet patient care demands in an era of physician shortages.

Dr. Singh is currently the Chair of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s Taskforce in Sleep Telemedicine, whereby an upcoming taskforce statement is forthcoming regarding the utilization of telemedicine for sleep disorders. He also will be the co-Chair of the 2016 AASM Trends in Sleep Medicine course.

Dr. Singh completed medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, internship and residency in internal medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY; this was followed by fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care at Duke University. While at Duke he also studied sleep medicine and completed a Masters in Health Services in clinical genomics research. Dr. Singh also completed a Masters of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina, where he holds a teaching appointment, and also teaches locally at Central Piedmont Community College and UNC-Charlotte.  Carolinas HealthCare System designated Dr. Singh as a Fellow in the Center for Faculty Excellence and Center for Physician Leadership.
